I believe everyone has a right to dignity. Are you paying attention? https://www.cnn.com/2020/10/28/us/philadelphia-walter-wallace-jr-shooting/index.html
Can you think of a time when you felt seen? Someone, maybe someone who didn't really know you well, notices something about you that you didn't notice until they called attention to it?
Shout out to Ally McGregor who is melodicmime on instagram for her poetry prompt. She encouraged me to do a free hand eyes closed random drawing, then make a list of the words that emerged from that drawing and create a poem from that list/variation. Here's what I made. Turns out, I was thinking about saving the earth.
Grace, dear reader, for these poorly written poems. You are definitely seeing more of a journal, an outlet, than an ode.
