Pranayama, Poses, and Poems
Have a women's group, wisdom circle, sibling bonding event, etc. where you want a instructor led experience of movement, connection, and reflection? This workshop is a revitalizing and reflective opportunity to connect with your authentic self. Create the connection by breathing, moving, reflecting, and writing poetry!
An exploratory workshop into the overlap between yoga and poetry, you’ll spend four hours discovering the mind body connection through words, awareness, and movement. You don't have to be able to do any of the yoga poses and you don't have to write one word of poetry, this workshop is about the tools of self-exploration. Non-poets and non-yogis are welcome to come unlock a new set of tools for introspection and reflection. Experienced poets and yogis will refine their own practice in pranayama, poses, and poems. Get a group together and I'll do the rest!

Who is the instructor?
Amy is an intuitive creative, authentic enthusiast, and lover of poetry. In 2018, she gave herself a creative challenge to write 365 poems in 365 days and she did! She learned a lot about poetry through the challenge and more about herself. You can read her poems here. Her personal mission is to guide others to a life of comfort and ease and she sees yoga and poetry as ways to achieve that mission. Amy has training in vinyasa, restorative, and yin yoga. You can find her at moonsweptyoga.com, on twitter, facebook, and Instagram.
When is it?
Amy can offer these workshops based on her availability and timing that works with your group. Just contact Amy here or email [email protected]
What if I'm not a good writer?
Doesn't matter. :) Just like in yoga, we'll be approaching poetry with openness and a non-judgmental attitude. The key is to just bring yourself.
What if I'm not good at yoga?
Same answer. No experience necessary! It's all good and the workshop is intended to offer a safe, comfortable, and creative space in which to move. If you have health concerns or injuries that may limit your ability to fully participate Contact Amy prior to registration.
