Hello! My name is Amy Kay Czechowicz and I'm discovering and sharing how to live a life of ease and flow. I don't think the ways we live, work, move, and interact have to be as difficult as we sometimes make them. I believe yoga, the mind-body connection, is one place to begin.
Why Moonswept? Because the moon is a symbol of peace, calm, and receptiveness; which is exactly what I wish to bring to my students- a consistent yoga practice that overcomes our frustrations with peace and comfort. I think another set of tools for ease and peace is continuous improvement. You can read more about my enthusiasm for continuous improvement by clicking the link below.
In 2017, I started my journey towards teaching yoga and have been growing my own practice and helping others find comfort and peace through movement. In 2018 and 2020, I challenged myself to write a poem a day and posted them here! The 2018 Poetry Challenge and 2020 Poetry Palooza, as I like to refer to them, helped me navigate my year and discover how I can leverage poetry writing with yoga to reflect and emerge at peace.
As I teach, I think about how I can bring what I've learned about both yoga, poetry, and continuous improvement to others who are looking for tools to unlock their own insights. I love to host personalized events for small groups that merge movement and the written word. Not a fan of poetry? No worries. I've had self-proclaimed poetry-skeptics attend and enjoy themselves.
My vision aligns with the Sanskrit mantra "Lokah Samastah Sukhino Bhavantu" which means, "may all beings be happy and free, and may the thoughts, words and actions of my own life contribute in some way to that happiness and freedom for all."
Welcome, and thank you for exploring Moonswept Yoga.
