Amy was first introduced to yoga in 2000 by her dedicated high school physical education instructor. She continued to dabble in yoga throughout college and the start of her corporate career, taking classes on occasion with her friends and eldest sister. In 2014, she began cultivating a regular practice, attending Saturday morning yoga through her apartment complex and enjoying outdoor yoga with her sister on summer evenings. Eventually, that interest grew to a consistent practice at Yess Yoga, in south Minneapolis where she ultimately obtained her RYT 200 certification in February 2018.
Amy's personal mission is to guide others to a life of comfort and ease and she sees yoga as an integral method to achieving that mission. Amy is certified to teach vinyasa, yin, and restorative yoga and offers an inclusive approach that builds confidence and familiarity with the poses, the yoga philosophy, and yourself.

Do the difficult things while they are easy and do the great things while they are small. A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step.” - Lao Tzu
